Wake up in the morning knowing dat I dun have to read for test is a GREAT feeling! Our 20% test has been postponed to nextweek due to the unreadiness of us! The very super understanding Dr. Zee agreed not to do it yesterday.. and we were like, owh thx Dr! We will blanje u mkanla, u r the greatest la..huhu. Honestly I if I had to take the test yesterday I'll be flopped!


Puase is great so far. Enjoying every bits of food and getting my stomach to struggle more to fit into my baju kurong, jeans and whatever I'm wearing.

Just arrived home from my class.super tired.Well for today's class my great partner, pya and I lead a discussion on pidgin & creoles for our sociolinguistic class. Still rmember those two weird things all my fellow fwens? huhu.. We had learnd those in our bachelor degree, but honestly I dun really bother whatver it is and even if I read it I can't seem to understand it.but now, I can really comprehend it as our textbook really go deeper about it. Yes, the book makes us crazy though! This course reminds me my former lecturer for socilinguistic, En. Azmi, who favours to pronunce "choice" as "choi" hahah! language choi! huhu... So pya went to present first, fyi we only realized that we supposed to do the presentation last night at 8pm! haihh.. procastinating, yes i know and i enjoy it! The language which is known as Tok Pisin Language adapt English language in their own language. So Pya gave example for the word "grass" in Tok Pisin they call "gras"=hair (not rumput). Ok just study this:

Tok Pisin vs English
1. Gras = Grass/Hair
2. Gras bilong fes = beard (as hair belong to the face)
3. Pisin = bird
4. Gras bilong pisin = feather (as hair belong to the bird, got it?)
5. Gras bilong dog = fur

and what happen if...

hahaha!! the whole class laughing like hell!! even me! bcos I didn't read it first! mok pya, please provide an appropriate example ok? hahaha!! luckily we don't have male in our class. btw the answer is CAT ok everybody! or are we the only group of people that might think "gras bilong pusi" has another meaning??

hehehe! We were quite satisfied with the presentation. Everybody understands it, we love it, Prof. Normah enjoyed it (we hope!)

Ksian dude smnggu dua ni..back n forth penang to KL n finally he got the job. Alhamdulilah. Lastweek tmankan die g intview kt bgsar, aku lpak kt kedai kopi n happen to read The Sun newspaper (20/7). I hate reading, yet I'm an English teacher. Funny bkn? Fine, so I read and there is one coloumn that really got my attention. Saye teruja n tros jotted down whatever written in there. Ke bley amek je ek newspaper tu? isk. So peeps, I like to share these:) enjoy...

New vocabs u shud add in ur dictionary:

1. Cat-astrophe : A cat that brings disaster as in broking a vase, window or spill coffee on you
paperwork.
2. Celebrat : A celebration done for a spoil-brat kids.
3. Ding-erous : Rock music loud enough that could damage ur ears.
4. Escablockheads: people who stand on the left on esclators, blocking people who r in hurry.
5. Escabludgers: people who storm up escalators knocking escablockheads aside. (hehe i loike!)
6. Emergentsy: desperately need to gents' toilet!
7. Floppacino: Cappacino foamy part overflows down the sides. (floppa!)

I'm way too tired to do all these stuffs. Trying my best not to abhor this. Few disappointments occurred lately. A 2 week assigned presentation has not been prepared (nicely) by the students, is a big disappointment. An answer such as, "owh, we forgot about that" was totally a heart wrenching. This is not a "what goes around comes around" kinda thing. I swear, never done that to any of my lecturers and will never do. I'm too tired to shout at them and do all the preaching because they never care. They are "blind". Well, is their lost.

Can I have something to appease me?

Maybe I should get a coffee.

Went to watch Public Enemies with dude @ KLCC. Johnny Depp kn, haihh...what more can I say! It was an ok movie,based on a true story. Ice Age as usual sgt sengal! Sid,Scrat, eddie&crash=hillarious! I loike!

Welcome Part Three (Gimme those serious books!)

My 1st week of Part Three masters went off very well. Syukor I am here to proceed for my third after been through the previous two semesters. Honestly I can't wait to finish dis once and for all! Having said this, I haven't started seriously on my thesis though. Huh, how ironic! Three new subjects for dis semester; Sociolinguistics in Multicultural Society (i like!), Psycho-sociology for Professional Practice (interesting!) and Curricular Issues In Education (hmmm..) We started with the first class for the semester with Prof. Normah (Sociolingustics) by reading the whole 1st chapter of the test book given to us on the 1st day! 1st chapter=35pages. I made it only for 3pages.hihi.. seriously, it wasn't really a good way to start off the semester. Well I love to get a new book but not really to read it on the 1st day of the class. huhu. On the second class with Prof. Zee (Curricular Issues) we need to answer some kind of warm-up "quiz" with 11 questions on a nice plain white paper to be answered in 20-30minutes. We were not really ready to answer all the questions but we tried our very best though (rite mok?) we answred question 1, 2, 3 and up to 10 and not until the 11th question which sound like this, "What influence on the field of curriculum are the reconceptualists and postmodernists having?" we were totally off! isk! but okayla... at least it helped us to cracked our head off after almost 2 months not having some serious reading! serve u right! And the third class (Psycho-sociology) was quite ok. We were having an understressed borak2 in class about psychology. Dr. Nabila sgt cool. She asked the class how well do we know bout ourself and who could really tell besides of own self? some said bestfriends, some said boyfriend or even parents. mind you, those people only tell good things about you because they dun want to hurt ur feelings (Dr. Faizah, 2009). So those people's opinions not really valid. Suprisingly she said our enemy could tell us about us. But how to approach our enemy (ies)? Those personality tests in Facebook also not valid ok! hehe. We did the Learning Style Test before ended the class and I fall into the Feelers and Doers category.

Feelers= are people oriented, expressive and focus on feelings and emotions, enjoy effective learning and gravitate toward learning experiences that explore people's attitude and emotions, appreciate to wotk in grups and like activities where they can share opinion and experiences.

Doers= Like to be actively involved in the learning process, will take charge in group activities, practice what they learn, intersted to know how they can apply what they learn in the real world, like information presented clearly and concisely and become impatient with drawn out discussions.

Hmm, somehow those descriptions are 80% true:)

Wish me luck people for this third semester. I reckon this semester will be tougher. not having a friend like previously will be difficult as well. No more discussing for test in the office, do all the assignments during office hour. isk. Mok, ko peg library ajak aku tau! isk!
